Disney+ and ESPN said on October 7, 2026 that Disney+ Super Bowl coverage is coming. Disney+ will livestream Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027. That is ESPN’s first Super Bowl production. ABC carries the game for the first time since 2006.
The ESPN press release is blunt: “All Disney+ subscribers in the United States can stream the traditional game presentation airing on ESPN and ABC.” Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters, and Laura Rutledge call the English telecast. Disney+ also carries ESPN Deportes in Spanish. However, Disney+’s own Super Bowl welcome page currently points fans to a Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited bundle for the game. Those two pages do not say the same thing about which plan you need.
Two Monday Night Football games first
Disney+ also gets two Monday Night Football regular-season games this fall. Specifically, the first is Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, October 26, Week 7. ESPN will name the second game later. Both games still air on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes. Disney+ then adds English and Spanish streams of those same broadcasts.
Meanwhile, the ESPN App in the United States still streams every Monday Night Football game and Super Bowl LXI. In addition, the app carries the ManningCast with Peyton and Eli on ESPN2, plus Super Bowl Sunday studio shows. Disney+ is not the ManningCast home in this announcement. The press release also puts ESPN’s Super Bowl feed on Disney+ in more than 55 international markets, including Spanish-speaking Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, and Australia/New Zealand. Linear ESPN platforms cover more than 130 countries and territories.
What this does, and what it does not
Disney already sold out Super Bowl LXI commercials. ESPN says ABC and ESPN locked every unit on the August fiscal Q3 2026 earnings call. Fifty-eight brands across 34 categories bought in, including nine first-time Super Bowl advertisers. As a result, this Disney+ window is extra distribution, not a new ad inventory dump.
Disney has been stacking live sports inside the same apps for months, from CW Sports on the ESPN App to Hulu watch history inside Disney+. Finally, Super Bowl LXI is the bigger test.
